A Boynton Beach attorney was suspended after an investigation by the Florida Bar Association found he violated loan modification and foreclosure defense rules, the Palm Beach Post reported. The Florida Supreme Court approved the Florida Bar’s recommendation to suspend Richard Meyer, 47, earlier this month, the Post said. Meyer took on loan modification services clients after a Florida law was passed in 2008 prohibiting them from charging upfront fees. Attorneys are exempt under the law. [more]
