The city of Pompano Beach is considering a proposal to build almost 100,000 square feet of self-storage space.
The city’s development review committee will consider the proposal at its meeting Wednesday.
Real estate company Avrohom Oustatcher proposed building the self-storage center on 3.8 acres that company bought in July for $1.4 million.

Their proposed 96,954-square-foot self-storage center at 51 Northeast 10 Street in Pompano Beach would have 819 units and would operate under the My Storage Bin brand.
Keith & Associates, a consulting and engineering firm with offices in Pompano Beach, Miami and Orlando, is designing the proposed self-storage center.
Among similar projects elsewhere in South Florida, Banner Storage Group LLC is developing a self-storage center in downtown Miami, and Gable Edge Parks Company has filed an application to build a five-story storage center in Coral Gables. [Inside Self-Storage] — Mike Seemuth
