The Whitman family, the owners of Bal Harbour Shops, have joined Swire Properties as co-developers of the retail at Brickell CitiCentre, a mixed-use project in Miami, the South Florida Business Journal reported. The 520,000-square-foot of retail project will concentrate approximately 40 percent of its square footage on luxury goods. The Whitmans will make an equity investment in Brickell CitiCentre, with Swire retaining majority control of the $1.05 billion project.
