Convicted mortgage fraudster Mark Benun has been out of prison, living in a halfway house in West Palm Beach, Fla., since Nov. 14. Benun, 38, pleaded guilty to four counts of interstate transportation of stolen property in December 2009 in connection with a mortgage fraud scheme involving the $6 million sale of a Bronx commercial building near Yankee Stadium.
