Broward County commissioners are expected to determine the fate of three large residential projects during Tuesday’s meeting.

Developer Dev Motwani’s Chieftain Pembroke wants to construct 262 residences on 10.5 acres at the southeast corner of University Drive and Pasadena Boulevard in Pembroke Pines. The vacant site is zoned as an office park. Chieftain bought the land through foreclosure in 2012.

Another potential Pembroke Pines project is a redevelopment of the Raintree Golf Course proposed by a joint venture between Miami-based Stefan Hoyer and Standard Pacific Corp. The venture asked commissioners to increase the number of single-family residences allowed on the golf course by 207, according to the South Florida Business Journal. It wants to construct 105 homes on the course and another 395 on 80 additional acres it plans to acquire from the city.

In Miramar, Southern Homes proposes a 160-home development on six acres in Miramar. The site is zoned for commercial use. [South Florida Business Journal]Eric Kalis
