The Miami-Dade County property appraiser’s office overhauled its website with the goal of making it more detailed and user-friendly.
Property Appraiser Lazaro Solis touted the revamped website, which is more mobile-friendly than previous versions. The department still does not have an app, but Solis told the Miami Herald the new website displays correctly on a smartphone or tablet. Solis took over the appraiser post in February after Carlos Lopez-Cantera was named Florida’s lieutenant governor.
New features include digitized drawings of some homes, broader search capabilities, information on a building’s actual square feet – instead of just having adjusted square feet available – and a link to Google’s Street View.
“There’s still a lot of good things we’re working on for the future,” Solis told the Herald. [Miami Herald] — Eric Kalis
