Reserve at Summit site
Central Palm Beach County’s Greenacres could finally see construction of a single-family project originally approved in 2006.
City Council members are expected to vote on a special exception and site plan modification to allow the Reserve at Summit development to move forward during tonight’s meeting, the Palm Beach Post reported. The project would have 73 single-family homes on 16 acres west of Ranchette Road and south of Summit Boulevard. The 2006 approval for a 72-unit development expired after the real estate market crash.
The three-property site currently has three existing single-family homes. But the developer has a contract to buy those properties and plans to demolish them. Reserve at Summit, which is being planned by Land Design South, would include a pool and clubhouse.
Greenacres staffers recommend approval of the project, as long as the developer commits to upgrading Ranchette Road with four-foot sidewalks and making drainage improvements. [Palm Beach Post] — Eric Kalis
