Miami real estate broker Edie Laquer’s lawsuit against her partners in the massive Miami Worldcenter project is going back to court.

A state appellate court denied a request from Palm Beach County developers Arthur Falcone and Marc Roberts to send Laquer’s lawsuit to arbitration, the Daily Business Review reported. A trial court judge had previously denied the same request from the developers, who are part of the team planning the mixed-use project north of downtown Miami.

Laquer has been suing Falcone and Roberts since 2008 over a stake in Miami Worldcenter that Laquer claims was promised to her.

Based in Miami Beach, Laquer has filed numerous lawsuits in recent years against former clients and partners. She received $3.8 million in the bankruptcy case of real estate investor Michael Samuel last July. [Daily Business Review]Eric Kalis
