Harbor Beach development in Fort Lauderdale
An eight-bedroom mansion in Fort Lauderdale just missed the top record for Broward County home sales, leaving the market at $14.5 million, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
The home at 2400 Del Lago Drive in the Harbor Beach development sold for $14.5 million, the deed showed. The price tag is the fifth-highest in county history. A home at 1 Isla Bahia Drive in Fort Lauderdale sold for $16.2 million in 2005, and three years later, one changed hands for $15.5 million. Two other properties went for $15 million.
Sheryl Hodor of Prudential Florida Realty had the listing. The brokerage said the sale was a “record total value package of $17.5 million,” but the extra amount refers to $2 million in furnishings and a commission paid by the buyer.
Listed for sale at $20 million, the 13,000-square-foot waterfront estate features eight bathrooms and two half bathrooms, his-and-her offices, a home theater, custom pool and a walk-in wine cellar.
The deed lists the buyer as Sands Management LLC, while the seller is 2400 Del Lago LLC, the Sun-Sentinel said. [Sun-Sentinel] –Mark Maurer
